Why breed in Palworld?

Predictable eggs

The species of every egg is set by a rule, not by luck. Plan a full breeding chain on paper and only spend Cake on eggs that move you toward your goal.

Variants on demand

Many alternate-form Pals can only be hatched from a fixed pair. The parent finder lists them so you never waste time on a pair that cannot work.

Better workers

Breeding is how players collect strong passive skills for base work and combat. First reach the right species, then repeat the cycle for the right passives.

Works on any device

The whole tool runs in your browser with no account and no download, so it is easy to keep open on a phone while you play.

Breeding farm guide

1. Set up the farm

Build a Breeding Farm, keep it stocked with Cake and assign one male and one female Pal. After a while an egg appears in the farm. Different Pals lay eggs of different sizes, so check what you receive before you commit an incubator slot to it.

2. Understand the rank maths

Each Pal has a hidden Breeding Rank. The game adds the parents' ranks, adds one, divides by two and rounds down. The child is the Pal whose rank is closest to the result. When two Pals are equally close, the one with the higher rank is chosen. These examples were produced by this very calculator:

Parent AParent BTarget rankChild
Smokie (1760)Menasting (1120)1440Shroomer Noct (1450)
Wixen (2080)Nox (2920)2500Amione (2520)
Jellroy (2590)Wumpo (830)1710Maraith (1710)
Pyrin (1980)Melpaca (2720)2350Beegarde (2350)
Silvegis (560)Finsider (2450)1505Prixter (1510)
Special rule: same-species parents always give that species, and a list of hard-coded pairs overrides the formula. Both cases are flagged in the calculator so you can tell them apart.

3. Build a breeding ladder

Rarely will you own the perfect parents for the Pal you want. Use the parent finder to see which pairs make your target, pick the pair that contains a Pal you can already catch, and breed toward the missing parent first. Each step is one egg, so a chain of two or three hatches usually gets you there.

4. Chase passive skills last

Species is only half of the work. A baby can inherit passive skills from its parents and can also roll new ones. Once your species is right, keep breeding the best-rolled parents together and keep only the eggs with useful passives.

Questions players ask

How accurate is this Palworld breeding tool?

Results come from the Breeding Rank values and special combination list found in the game data, and the formula was checked against more than 33,000 known parent pairs. A game patch can still change values, so always match the tool to your game version.

What is the difference between formula breeding and unique combos?

Most pairs follow the average Breeding Rank formula. A smaller list of pairs is hard-coded in the game and always hatches a fixed Pal, which is how many alternate-form Pals are obtained.

Does gender matter when breeding Pals?

A Breeding Farm needs one male and one female Pal. The calculator ignores gender except for the very few special combinations whose result depends on which parent is male or female. Those are labelled in the result.

Can I breed alternate-form and variant Pals?

Yes. Variants have their own Breeding Rank and appear as separate entries, and many of them are produced through special combinations. Use the Find Parents tab to see how to get each one.

Why are some Pals marked Cannot breed?

Legendary and other boss-type Pals are excluded from the breeding system. They cannot be parents and cannot be hatched, so the tool lists them for reference only.

Is this site connected to the game developer?

No. It is an independent fan project that is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pocketpair, Inc.
